The short answer

Visit the Houston Auto Show January 27–31, 2027 at NRG Center to explore what matters to you. Record the exact model, trim and features you like, then use those notes to compare individual used vehicles at Classic Buick GMC. Start with the family-space guides and current inventory below; equipment can differ across model years and trims.[1][3]

Make the show useful for your next visit to Classic

Choose the everyday need you want to solve before you walk the show floor. Bring those same questions to the specific used vehicle you consider at Classic.

More room for the family

At the show, compare cargo space with every passenger seat you need upright. Then use Classic’s Yukon / Yukon XL guide to plan a check with your own stroller and bags.

Bring the shortlist back to Classic

Use your notes to ask specific questions about Classic’s available SUVs, minivans or trucks. The examples below are from current inventory; they are not promised to remain available through the show.

Your useful takeaway is a set of requirements you can apply to the next suitable vehicle. The family-cargo and minivan guides provide more detailed checklists for those particular decisions.[2]

Tickets: check the year before you buy

The organizer has announced the 2027 dates and hours. Its FAQ and directions pages still include 2026 ticket dates and parking offers, so this guide does not present those prices as confirmed 2027 admission.

Use the official ticket link above and check the event dates, checkout fees, child admission and whether Boat Show access is included before purchasing. Recheck before your visit.[1][3][4]

Getting to NRG Center from Katy

The organizer’s route from the west uses I-10 east to Loop 610 south, then the South Main or Fannin exit. Use current navigation for traffic and follow event signs for the open entrance. NRG Center is next to NRG Stadium; confirm the building when choosing your destination.

For transit, the organizer directs rail visitors toward Gate 2 off Fannin. Check METRO’s current route and service information before leaving. Avoid relying on the dated 2026 rideshare locations still listed in the FAQ.[4][3]

Bringing the family—and the stroller

The organizer’s FAQ allows strollers, making your visit a chance to ask about family access and cargo space. Ask display staff before trying your own stroller in a vehicle. Keep a note of the model, trim and seating arrangement you tested.

The same FAQ lists accessible parking and wheelchair or scooter rentals. Confirm availability with the venue before visiting; this guide does not carry forward older rental prices.[3]

Plan your exhibits and driving experiences

The organizer promotes vehicle displays, Camp Jeep and ride-and-drive experiences. Check its current program for participating brands, age or license requirements and operating hours before building your day around a particular activity.

Start with two or three vehicle types that meet your needs. Compare passenger access, visibility and cargo loading, then leave time to revisit your favorites. Classic is not represented here as an exhibitor or sponsor.[1]

Separate a feature from the job it does

“I liked the big SUV” is difficult to shop from. “I need room for our stroller with the third row in use” is a question you can test.

Make a short list before you go: passengers, cargo, parking space and the tasks your next vehicle must handle. After each vehicle, write down what worked and what you still need to check. That gives your next dealership visit a purpose.

Compare equipment across years carefully

A show vehicle may be a newer generation or a higher trim than a used example with the same name. Bring the exact model and trim notes rather than assuming features carry over.

For each used vehicle, check its own equipment, history, mileage and condition. Ask for a demonstration of anything essential to your decision. This page makes no claim that a used vehicle duplicates a show vehicle or delivers a specific saving.
